Summer Memories at the Meadowhill Aquatic Center

Before generations of Northbrook families made summer memories at Meadowhill Aquatic Center, there was a lot of anticipation for its grand opening.

After construction and even a rain delay, the pool officially opened on August 2, 1961, and was dedicated just a few days later during Northbrook Days. One of the most meaningful parts of the project came from the Northbrook Civic Association, which donated $25,000 to build a beginners' pool for young swimmers.

More than 60 years later, Meadowhill Aquatic Center is still a place where Northbrook summers come to life from first swimming lessons to afternoons spent with family and friends.
